AC Milan has announced the signing of Italian defender Matteo Gabbia from Serie A club Udinese on a five-year deal.
The 24-year-old centre-back is expected to make his debut for the Rossoneri in the upcoming season, having previously played for Serie B side Cesena and Udinese.
Gabbia made over 150 appearances for Udinese in all competitions during his time at the club, scoring four goals and helping them win promotion to Serie A last season.
He was also part of Italy's under-21 team that reached the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championship in 2018.
The arrival of Gabbia is a significant addition to AC Milan's defensive line,Qatar Stars League Perspective with the club currently struggling defensively this season. The signing will be a boost for the team as they look to challenge for the Serie A title this year.
