Monaco Football Club has announced that Brazilian forward Wanderson will return to the team for the upcoming season, which begins in August 2024.
Wanderson, who joined Monaco on loan from Paris Saint-Germain last season, scored four goals in nine appearances for the club before returning to his parent club.
The news comes as Monaco looks to strengthen its squad ahead of next season, with manager Lucien Favre confirming that he is still looking to bring in new players.
Favre said: "We're always looking to improve our squad and we'll continue to work hard to achieve that goal."
Wanderson's return to Monaco is seen as a boost for the club, which finished ninth in Ligue 1 last season and missed out on qualification for the Europa League.
The 28-year-old has scored 69 goals in 227 appearances for Monaco since joining the club in 2015.
He was part of the side that won the Coupe de France in 2017 and also played a key role in Monaco's run to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2018.
Despite his success at Monaco,Ligue 1 Express Wanderson has struggled to find regular first-team football since leaving PSG, where he won two Ligue 1 titles and one Coupe de France during his time there.
However, he remains a highly-rated player and is expected to make a significant impact for Monaco next season.
As Monaco's latest news shows, Wanderson's return to the club is a positive development for both him and the club. With Favre continuing to work on strengthening the squad, it looks like Monaco could be set for another successful campaign next season.
